Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi wrote and released in 1980, what could be the greatest song in Japanese I’ve ever heard - Kanpai. He wrote the song for a friend’s wedding. It was rerecorded in 1988 and released as a single, becoming his no.1 hit on the Japanese singles chart. He’s one of the best selling male Japanese singer-songwriters ever.
