That’s what Craigslist founder Craig Newmark was quoted to have said. Yup, for some people having cellular phones is already a sure ticket to happiness 
Craigslist in its present form began in 1996, featuring local events in the San Francisco Bay Area. As of April 2009, craigslist has expanded to 570 cities in 50 countries, including Malaysia.
It currently has 28 staff.
The only source of revenue is paid job ads in some cities : most expensive being USD75 per ad for the San Francisco Bay Area.
It is the 22nd most visited website in the world, serving 50 million unique monthly visitors in the United States alone.
It has more than 40 million new classified advertisements every month: the leading classifieds service in ANY medium.
The company does not formally disclose financial information, but analysts and commentators have reported “possibly USD150 million in 2007.”
