Petroleum Engineering graduates’ starting salary in the United States is more than RM24,000 per month
The top 15 highest-earning college degrees in the USA all have one thing in common – mathematics; and 12 of those are engineering degrees.
At the very top is petroleum engineering, which, at an average starting offer of USD83,121 (that’s more than RM24,000 per month!).
Why? Because oil is getting more difficult to find. Petroleum engineers try to locate oil and gas reservoirs, or finding ways to bring them to the surface.
Far behind at second place is the chemical engineer, more than USD20,000 per year adrift at a mere USD64,902 (RM19,000 per month).
Still, compared to developing nations’ starting salaries, these guys should have no problems with their baby showers.
