The world’s most expensive haircut costs > RM86,000

Ken Modestou must be the luckiest barber on earth.

He probably only needs to do one haircut a month and still able to live comfortably.

His client: the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah.

Mr Modestou has a hairdressing salon in London, but once every few weeks would fly over to Brunei, 7,000 miles away, to do the sultan’s hair, then fly back to London.

He has been the sultan’s barber for the last 16 years.

It was reported that on his most recent visit, the sultan paid more than USD21,000 – that would include first class airfare, hotel stay, luxury food etc.

Basically, it’s “just sign”.

That’s a brand new car per trim, with perhaps even orlando vacations thrown in!

Compare that to what you’d have to pay if you visit his barbershop in person: GBP30. And elsewhere in Britain, it’s even cheaper at between 3 and 4 pounds.
