Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien gets USD33 million for 7-month’s work
It was reported by the BBC on 21st January 2010 that The Tonight Show’s host Conan O’Brien, 46 would be paid USD45 million to stop working and let veteran Jay Leno, 59 come back to the programme which he had hosted for 17 years previously.
He’d been the host for a mere 7 months.
Personally, he’d get USD33 million, the rest to be paid to members of his staff.
USD33 million – that works out to be about USD4.7 million a month – that’s a staggering RM15 million!
Mr O’Brien might never need to work again, but after some time he’d surely get restless and could try to try something new like going into
pet franchise.
