There is an article in Sin Chew Daily on 22nd April 2010 that says Singaporean women does not want to date men who earn less than them, even if they looked like Brad Pitt.

It claimed that a survey was carried out by online television Razor TV among Singaporean women, which found that men earning at least S$8,000 (RM19,200) were deemed sexy, even if he was physically ugly.

Hence, it can be concluded that sexiness in a man is not dictated by how attractive he looks, but by his earning power.

The survey was carried out by showing photos of 3 men and showing them to ladies on the streets, then asking them to say what they think both before and after disclosing the men’s monthly salaries and/or car used, even perhaps type of laptop preferred.

Generally, the women interviewed defended themselves by saying that “men’s income reflected their personality.” Well, what do you think? Personally I have met obnoxious high earners.
