Dion Tiu, 20 of Australia set this world record apparently earlier this year. He has held and broken the world record 3 times.

On 7th November 2007, Pekka-Eric Auvinen, 18 posted an ominous video on YouTube, predicting a massacre at his former school. A few hours later, he went to that school, Jokela High School in southern Finland and shot dead 7 children (5 boys and 2 girls) and 1 woman: the school principal.

He walked from one classroom after another, knocked on the doors and shooting through them with a .22-caliber handgun. The school has some 500 students.

He was rushed to hospital after shooting himself in the head and later died.

The YouTube video is set to a hard-driving song by KMFDM called “Stray Bullet.” Eerily, that same song was posted on a web site maintained by Eric Harris, one of the gunmen in the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.

It shows a still photo of a low building that appears to be Jokela High School. The photo then breaks apart to reveal a red-tinted picture of a man pointing a handgun at the camera:

A teacher said: “It felt unreal, a pupil I have taught myself was running towards me, screaming, a pistol in his hand.”

The YouTube video is entitled “Jokela High School Massacre - 11/7/2007″ and apparently posted by Auvinen using the handle Sturmgeist89. “Sturmgeist” means storm spirit in German.

Hours after the shooting, the user’s account was suspended.

Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen told reporters the shooting was an “extremely sad event”.
